While I was working with one of the issues with MegaRAID. It was not letting me to browse via console of it. It was showing an error “Server could not be found because server may be down or server not installed in the host system.”
Here we need to browse through our possibilities.
- Checking the MSM service is must and that will be the first thing that you would do.
- Checking the type of Controller you have installed and updating the Driver.
- Look for the Management Software to browse to the configured Disks in the RAID.
- Look for the IP assigned and the Firewall status. You can try to Disable and then try to browse via the MegaRAID if the server is getting detected. Or try to re-enable it and then try to browse. I have seen the cases where Disabling and Re-Enabling the Firewall works.
In my case it was the Management software version, so I had to downloaded a degraded version to get it working.
